This new home on the Oregon Coast, sited just above the ocean waves, offers views up and down the coast line and easy access to the beach making for a comfortable home for family life.
The oceanfront façade features a west facing gable wall with windows interspersed with Accoya panels inset in the subtly tapered wall providing a classic touch while the thickness of the walls is showcased by the deep set windows and doors give the home a unique dimensionality.
Meanwhile spacious decks main floor decks offer the opportunity for outside living on nice days while the lower decks allow you to get outside but still be protected on inclement days.
Inside the great room features a vaulted ceiling topped by the cupola. The combination of space and light makes for a bright and cheery space all year long. A sculptural stair incorporating a convenient bench leads down to the family room below.
The house is unique with insulated concrete form walls (ICF) sitting atop grade beams supported by steel columns driven deep in the ground. The ICF walls coupled with European tilt turn windows and a super insulated roof make for a quiet high efficiently home fit for modern times.
